Samy’s Photo school is proud to partner with National Park Photographic Expeditions to provide our students with exceptional Landscape Master Classes in our nation’s most scenic national parks. Bob Killen and his staff of national park Artist in Residence instructors will help you access intuitive, reflective ways of working that will lead you to create great landscape images. These classes provide hands-on, mentored learning in the field and ample classroom time with your instructor to teach you a capture to post production workflow (end to creative end workflow) using Lightroom and Photoshop.
This 5-day course is inclusive of field capture and post-processing training. Photographers learn valuable insights about creative landscape photography, landscape thematics, environmental considerations, and to create landscape works that say and do more than what the camera captured. You will learn the magic of landscape compositions, simplification through previsualization, targeting images for voice and meaning, and how to apply an end to end workflow with Lightroom and Photoshop. Ample field lectures known as ‘Classroom Circles’ in the park, plus many hours of capture time with an instructor by your side, insures that you leave with new tools, techniques, and a visual voice that matters.
Olympic National Park
Olympic National Park sports and an unmatched level of environmental diversity, beauty, and wilderness, which provides an extraordinary range of photographic exploration.
This is a temperate rainforest national park, one that receives 14 feet of rain each year, and the wet forests are home to elk who pasture along salmon-filled rivers. There are 73 miles of rugged and wild wilderness coasts with ancient sea stacks standing guard along the pristine coast while mountains loom in the distance.
Such diversity provides an ample training ground to Master Landscape Photography across a dramatic cross-section of habitat and weather atmospherics in one of the nation’s premiere National Parks.
